The Delton Moose Lodge was formed on April 16, 1978 by Rush Stidham. The land was donated by Merwyn and Pauline Campbell. The original building consisted of the half of the building that holds the bar area. The addition was built around 1991. The commercial kitchen was remodeled in 2025.

Unfortunately, we do not have records going back that far to know how many members there were at that time. But, we do have records going back to 2007. At that time we had 215 active Lodge members and 100 for the Women of the Moose. At that time women were members of a separate chapter.

In 2016 there were 243 active members and by 2021 we had grown substancially to 760 members. As of September 2025 we now have over 1,200 members! I say "over" because we just keep growing.

By the way, if you are a member that has knowledge of the history of the Lodge that you think members would find interesting, please shoot us an email at deltonmoose@yahoo.com.

You may have joined the Moose for the great, inexpensive meals and drinks and to meet some new people, but the Moose is way more than that. The Delton Moose is an integral part of our community.

We have held fundraisers for the DK Band Boosters, The Shack, the Orangeville Community Outreach, Barry County Veterans Memorial Dog Park, the Hastings Band and Performing Arts, McCallum Church, Pierce Cedar Creek, the Community Housing Revitalization, Delton Kellogg Education Foundation, and Barry County Cares.

We also make other contributions in the form of sponsorships to various organizations throughout Barry County. We also open our doors for organizations like the Rotary and Senior Mystery Trip to use our facilities to promote their own fundraisers.

The Women of the Moose host the annual Easter Egg Hunt, Halloween Party and Breakfast with Santa, touching the lives of over 250 children in our community.

The WOTM and the Men of the Legion hold a breakfast fundraiser on the first Saturday of the month for Hand to Hand. Hand to Hand provides food for the weekend for many Delton students.

These things don't happen without the support of our members, so don't forget to keep your ears open for areas we need help!
